You Think You Know Sea Creatures/Animals? Not Like This Kid

I’d say at least a few times a week I think “man this kid loves animal books.” My experience with kids revolves mostly around my own, so I don’t know how normal it is for kids to be this knowledgeable about any one subject. Reece picks up things so quickly, as evidenced by the video below. I took this weeks ago but it was too large a file to share anywhere, so Jessika helped her technology-challenged husband figure out the best way to post this. Enjoy you animals.

Stephen’s Unsolicited Cereal Reviews – 1st Edition

Stephens Unsolicited Cereal Reviews

Don’t ask and you shall receive. I’m bringing the SUCR’s (Stephen’s Unsolicited Cereal Reviews, if you happened to miss the title) to all you suckers. I really hope this acronym doesn’t belong to something super heinous. So what’s better than cereal? MORE cereal. If you ever see me eat just one bowl, please check up on me immediately, because something is definitely wrong. With the exception of a short time in college when I found out milk was no longer in the cards for me (but before I discovered the existence of lactose-free milk), I’ve eaten cereal my whole life. Here is hard, irrefutable evidence it started very early:

Cookies The Size Of Your Head

Wish I could remember where I saw it, most likely a gif file on Twitter, but there was a cookie recipe that resembled S’mores by putting marshmallows and chocolate chips in the middle. We already have an awesome cookie recipe that we call in our house “Clayton’s mom’s cookies.” Other than the cookies my grandma made as a kid, these are the best cookies. It’s Shook and Cook, and I Assisted! Cereal Edition

Why in the world have I ever wanted to try this? I mean, obviously I’ve been a life-long cereal fiend. Frankly me eating a bowl of cereal could be classified as assault and battery; I don’t mess around. But cereal-coated chicken? I don’t have any idea whether someone else has tried this. I didn’t bother Googling it. It wouldn’t have deterred me either way, because I had to experience it myself. Continue reading “It’s Shook and Cook, and I Assisted! Cereal Edition”

Mullet Watch 2017

My entire life I had short hair, and never thought much about it. There were one or two times I tried growing it out, but it never took. Once it got a certain length, it started bothering me. And nothing is easier to maintain than a mostly bald head. Shower-shake-towel-dry. Done.

A few years ago I noticed my hair was starting to thin a bit. Now let me preface by saying I’ve never worried about losing my hair. Mainly because I look at literally anyone in my family and it’s a foregone conclusion: I’m on borrowed time. But I always figured since my hair was short, it wouldn’t be a huge transition. Let’s Do This

Judging from the name of this website, you can likely guess what type of hard-hitting content I’ll be sharing with you. If you’re someone who knows me, this will come as no surprise. If you don’t, hopefully you’ll get to know me a little better. In all seriousness, at this point I don’t have any plan at all on what I’ll be doing with this blog. Or I should say, the plan is to write and share whatever comes to mind. If I can make you laugh, think or feel something, that would more than make my day. So let’s do this.
